Nepal is a South Asian nation located between China and India. Internal conflict of more than 15 years has driven back the country in terms of infrastructure, education, health and overall national development. However, a peace process has concluded the conflict and Nepal is now making a slow transition to peace. And in an effort to modernize itself, the government of Nepal has formulated an e-governance master plan, or eGMP. The paper aims to evaluate the major e-governance projects running under the eGMP. The analysis is based on the basis of more than 20 years of experience as a senior officer of government of Nepal and long time experience of e-governance initiations at the central level.
