Human consumption of raw or undercooked seafood, particularly oysters, may lead to severe infections due to the presence of Vibrio vulnificus. In this study, a sensitive and specific loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay was developed to detect this pathogen in raw oysters.
