A multicore processor is a processing system composed of two or more independent cores in a single physical package. The multicore processor has many advantages over a single core processor in performing multitasking operation. Cores in multicore systems may implement architectures such as superscalar, vector processing, or multithreading. Now a day, multicore and multithreading systems are widely used.
