  • Efficacy of three synthetic insecticides and six neem products was evaluated in fields for the control of cashew leaf folder, Sylepta aurantiacalis Fisch. (Pyralidae: Lepidoptera) on seven years old cv. VRI-2 trees at Regional Research Station, Vridhachalam during 2001. Treatment of monocrotophos 36 WSC (1.5 ml/1) was most effective in controlling the leaf folder and recorded 94.6% larval reduction over control in 10 days after spraying.
