Abstract Description of a new species of the genus Eupholidoptera Maran. This new species, E. jacquelinae, was found on the Greek island of Gavdos, south of Crete. Its relation with other members of the genus is discussed on the basis of morphological traits.
Eupholidoptera karatolosi sp.n. and E. mirzayani sp.n. (Orthoptera, Tettigoniidae), two new bushcrickets from Greece and Iran
Two new species of bushcrickets (Orthoptera, Tettigoniidae: Platycleidini), are described and distinguished from closely related species based on morphology.
Phylogeny and biogeography Eupholidoptera Mařan (Orthoptera, Tettigoniidae): morphological speciation in correlation with the geographical evolution of the eastern Mediterranean
Epholidoptera Mařan is a Mediterranean lineage of Tettigoniidae, restricted to the northern and eastern basin of the Mediterranean, with a significant number of species found on the Aegean islands, and radiation in the genus is a result of divergence in morphology.
Endemism hot spots, core areas and disjunctions in European Orthoptera
The paper overviews the endemism hot-spots of the European Orthoptera and reveals the paleogeographic processes which have shaped the recent faunal structures of the European Orthoptera fauna.
Spatial patterns of diversity in the tenebrionid beetles (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae) of the Aegean Islands (Greece)
Larger islands have more species because they have more habitats and present colonization processes do not play a substantial role, while smaller islands retained more species.
A statistical method for idiographic analyses in biogeographical research
Idiographic analyses (i.e. detailed analyses of single species ranges) can be criticized for subjective and speculative reasoning. Medoid partition is suggested here as a method to perform a

Two new species of Eupholidoptera Maran (Orthoptera, Tettigoniidae): E. tasheliensis n. sp. and E. femorata n. sp.
An evaluation is given about the relationships of the new species, especially about the prasina group which possibly includes E. femorata n.
Turkish bush‐crickets of the genus Eupholidoptera (Decticinae)
Five new species are described alongwith the previously unnknown male of E.excisa (Karabaĝ), and females of E .tauricola (Ramme) and E. werneri Ramme of the Turkish Eupholidoptera, and following examination of specimens from Cyprus the previously unknown male ofE.cypria Ramme is described.
Two new species of Eupholidoptera Maran (Orthoptera, Tettigoniidae) from Crete with a checklist and key to the species
date nearly 50 species are recognized. The habitat of these bush-rickets is variable, ranging from humid to dry. They prefer coarse vegetation, especially prickly bushes and shrubs. They may be found
