In cancer treatment, efficient therapeutic strategies could be impeded by cellular mechanisms such as the multidrug resistance. Recently, drug-loaded nanoparticles have been reported to be useful, since they allow entering the cancer cell and act as an intracellular anti-cancer drug reservoir.
