Exercise-induced asthma (EIA) occurs with a high prevalence in both asthmatic and nonasthmatic individuals. Although understanding of the functional genomics (proteomics) in sports medicine remains limited, this review focuses on immunologic changes as reflected in transcriptional regulation in respect to EIA.
