The plains of North Bengal is the northern part of West Bengal lying South of the hills of Darjeeling district and of Western Bhutan and stretches as far South as the river Ganga. This flat montane track consists of the terairegion of Darjeeling district and other districts like Jalpaiguri, Kochbihar, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Danajpur and Malda.
