Estimation of Time Dependent Parameters in General Parabolic Evolution Systems

Abstract

In this paper we develop a convergence theory for estimating time dependent parameters in a general class of parabolic system. We apply this theory to several problems of interest, such as estimating transport and biodegredation parameters in a contaminant transport model and the stiiness coeecient in an Euler-Bernoulli beam equation.
