This study dealt with estimating AADT which serves the important basic data in transportation sector. AADT estimation is fundamental to the analysis of transportation data sets and the management of transportation systems. AADT is estimated using short-term traffic counts at most sites because permanent traffic counts is installed at limited sites. To estimate AADT, an adjustment factor application model was proposed on FHWA's Traffic Monitoring Guide in the United States. This model uses…

Integration of Transport Model with Annual Average Daily Traffic
Economical transportation of manufactured goods and raw materials play a vital role in minimising the cost of the whole operation. Hence proper emphasis needs to be laid on designing the whole
A supervised learning approach to calibrating annual average daily traffic against highway roadworks
Annual average daily tra ffi c (AADT) is an essential parameter to evaluate the level of mobility in large urban corridors often a ff ected by highway roadworks. However, very little is known about AADT

ABSTRACT Annual average daily traffic (AADT) is an essential parameter to evaluate the level of mobility in large urban corridors often affected by highway roadworks. However, very little is known
Advanced Vehicle Miles Traveled Estimation Methods for Non-Federal Aid System Roadways Using GPS Vehicle Trajectory Data and Statistical Power Analysis
TLDR
The key finding of the research is that it is feasible to use new GPS vehicle trajectory data to estimate VMT on non-Federal Aid System roadways and the sample size of this data allows the application of this new method across the nation.
Methodology to Estimate the Need for Direct-Current Fast-Charging Stations along Highways in Canada
AbstractMany research works have focused on solving facility location problems to optimize the distribution of direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations along highways. However, before such opti...

Annual Average Daily Traffic Estimation using Co-kriging
TLDR
This study uses the geostatistical approach called co-kriging to improve the accuracy of traffic volume prediction, using previous year`s traffic data which is in a high spatial correlation with traffic volume data as a secondary variable.
Estimating Annual Average Daily Traffic Using Hourly Traffic Pattern and Grouping in National Highway
This study shows how to estimate AADT(Annual Average Daily Traffic) on temporary count data using new grouping method. This study deals with clustering permanent traffic counts using monthly
A Study on Deriving of Adjustment Factor to Estimate AADT
TLDR
The methods for implementing monthly and daily adjustment factors to estimate AADT reasonably by a temporary (or coverage) count data involves three methods of deriving adjustment factors.
Estimation of Annual Average Daily Traffic for Nonstate Roads in a Florida County
A study was undertaken to develop a methodology to estimate annual average daily traffic (AADT) for nonstate roads in urbanized areas in Florida. The current practice related to the estimation of
Contributing Factors of Annual Average Daily Traffic in a Florida County: Exploration with Geographic Information System and Regression Models
Accurate annual average daily traffic (AADT) information is important to many applications, including roadway design, air quality compliance, travel model validation, and others. Yet complete or even
CLUSTER ANALYSIS OF ARIZONA AUTOMATIC TRAFFIC RECORDER DATA
Monthly factor data were used as input data for cluster analysis of 28 permanent traffic volume counters installed in Arizona. Monthly factors are the ratio of monthly average daily traffic to annual
Improving the Prediction of Annual Average Daily Traffic for Nonfreeway Facilities by Applying a Spatial Statistical Method
Annual average daily traffic (AADT) data are important for various transportation research areas, including travel model calibration and validation, pavement design, roadway design, and air quality
Spatial Prediction of AADT in Unmeasured Locations by Universal Kriging
This work explores the application of kriging methods for prediction of average daily traffic counts across the Texas network. Both results based on both euclidean and roadway network distances
A Study on the Prediction of Traffic Counts Based on Shortest Travel Path
TLDR
This paper considers the shortest travel path between monitoring sites to predict AADT for unmonitoring site using spatial regression model and uses universal Kriging method for prediction and finds that the overall predictive capability of the spatial regressionmodel based on shortest travel route is better than that of the model based on multiple regression by cross validation.
