This article analyses call duration probability density function and its parameters in GSM system. The sample data are obtained from an actual system, and the observed call duration is as long as 1800 seconds. K-L divergence method has been introduced to compare the goodness of candidate call duration probability density functions, and to estimate the parameters of three candidate probability density functions.
