Abstract

A green-pigmented cell suspension culture of Marchantia polymorpha was established using the medium of Murashige and Skoog with addition of organic acids of the tricarboxylic-acid cycle, vitamins and sugars plus sugar alcohols, exclusion of kinetin, and replacement of sucrose with glucose.
