The developing chicken cerebellum contains two forms of the plasma membrane-associated actin-binding protein spectrin. The brain form, alpha gamma-spectrin (fodrin), is expressed constitutively in all neuronal cell bodies and processes during all stages of cerebellar morphogenesis.
