The temporal growth pattern, aboveand below-ground biomass allocation of Eriophorum vaginatum (cottongrass) and its nutrient immobilisation dynamics were studied in a greenhouse experiment. The temporal growth pattern was also studied in a field experiment with three N and P addition levels in a restored peatland buffer in central Finland.
