Epithelioid cells are found in lymph nodes in cases of metastatic carcinoma; however, epithelioid cells with benign features have also been discovered incidentally in lymph nodes. Epithelioid cells were observed in mediastinal lymph nodes of cattle without cancer during routine diagnostic necropsy.
