Background:Eosinophils reside in normal gastrointestinal tracts and increase during disease states. Receptors for eosinophil-derived granule proteins (EDGPs) have not been identified, but highly cationic molecules, similar to eosinophil proteins, bind extracellular calcium–sensing receptors (CaSRs).
