Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, inflammatory disease, frequently associated with joint destruction. Knowledge regarding the aetiology of RA is mainly generated on Caucasian populations. Less is known about RA in other populations with different genetic backgrounds and lifestyles.
