AbstractObjectivesAn electromagnetic induction (EMI) survey is conducted in five selected sites near Al-Musk Lake area to (1) investigate the effect of this dumpsite on the soil and groundwater in the neighborhood of the lake, (2) delineate the vertical and horizontal distribution of the potential contamination, and (3) examine the effectiveness of the main dam, constructed to block wastewater from reaching the city, in preventing subsurface migration of contamination.
