The environmental behavior of chlorpyrifos and endosulfan in soil was studied in the central-western region of Brazil by means of a field experiment. Sorption was evaluated in laboratory batch experiments. Chlorpyrifos and endosulfan were applied to experimental plots on uncultivated soil and the following processes were studied: leaching, runoff, and dissipation in top soil. Field dissipation of chlorpyrifos and endosulfan was more rapid than reported in temperate climates. Despite the high…
Mobility and dissipation of chlorpyriphos and quinalphos in sandy clay loam in an agroecosystem-a laboratory-based soil column study.
Leaching potential of pesticides, apart from climatological factors, depends on soil physical properties, soil–pesticide interaction and chemical nature of the molecule. Recent investigations have

Dissipation Kinetics of Chlorpyrifos in Soils of a Vegetable Cropping System under Different Cultivation Conditions
Dissipation kinetics of chlorpyrifos in the near-neutral paddy soils of a vegetable cropping system under greenhouse, screenhouse and field conditions was studied using a rapid analytical method. The
Measurement and Removal of Endosulfan from Contaminated Environmental Matrices
TLDR
This chapter provides a detailed review of available detection protocols for endosulfan, their advantages, and limitations and reviews the existing efforts for the removal of this persistent compound from a variety of environmental matrices.

Pesticide contamination causes precarious implications on human health and environment. Thus the investigation of its sorption phenomenon is highly imperative. Endosulfan insecticide was examined for
Dissipation and sorption–desorption of benzisothiazolinone in agricultural soils and identification of its metabolites
Benzisothiazolinone has been widely used to control bacterial and fungal diseases in various agricultural crops by destroying the nuclear structure and interfering with the metabolism of microbial
Endosulfan Pesticide Dissipation and Residue Levels in Khat and Onion in a Sub-humid Region of Ethiopia
Endosulfan, a mixture of α- and β-isomers, is used by farmers in the wet and dry season for khat and onion production. Khat leaf samples were collected in farmer fields at intervals of 1 h; 1, 5, 9
Bioremediation of Endosulfan under Solid-State and Submerged Fermentation of Pleurotus ostreatus and its Correlation with Lignolytic Enzyme Activities
During the past few decades, organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) have emerged as global pollutants. Despite their ban, Endosulfan, one of the most persistent and toxic pesticides of the OCP group, was

Fate of pesticides in tropical soils of Brazil under field conditions.
TLDR
Investigation of 10 pesticides in two tropical soils of contrasting texture in the Brazilian Cerrado region near Cuiabá during an 80-d period indicated that a nonpoint pollution of ground water resources in tropical Brazil cannot be ruled out for these substances.
Role of Soil Organic Matter on the Sorption and Cosorption of Endosulfan and Chlorpyrifos on Agricultural Soils
AbstractSorption of endosulfan and chlorpyrifos was studied through batch experiments with three agricultural soils (organic carbon 0.8, 1.37, and 2%) and different initial concentrations of
Fate of Endosulfan in Cotton Soil under Sub‐tropical Conditions of Northern India
TLDR
Dissipation of the total endosulfan residues occurred to an extent of 92-97% in the first four-week period and by about 99% in 238 days in two distinct phases in first-order kinetics.
Fate of Chlorothalonil, Chlorpyrifos and Profenofos in a Vegetable Farm in cameron Highlands, Malaysia
The fate of chlorothalonil, chlorpyrifos and profenofos in sandy loam soil under tropical condition was studied in a vegetable plot in the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. The plot was treated with
Leaching behaviour of chlorpyriphos and cypermethrin in sandy loam soil
TLDR
The mobility of chlorpyriphos and cypermethrin in sandy loam soil was studied in soil columns under laboratory conditions under saturated moisture condition and hence may not contaminate ground water.
Properties and uses of chlorpyrifos in the United States.
TLDR
CPY is an important tool in management of a large number of pests (mainly insects and mites) and is used on a wide range of crops in the U.S. from 2008 to 2012 and is potentially toxic to most animals.
