We study the entanglement between the two beams exiting a Mach-Zehnder interferometer fed by a couple of squeezed-coherent states with arbitrary squeezing parameter. The quantum correlations at the output are functions of the internal phase shift of the interferometer, with the output state ranging from a totally disentangled state to a state whose degree of entanglement is an increasing function of the input squeezing parameter. A couple of squeezed vacuums at the input lead to maximum… Expand

Entanglement Manipulation for a Two-Mode Squeezed Vacuum State
By numerically analysing the entropy of entanglement of the output state from a Mach–Zehnder interferometer for the two-mode squeezed vacuum state input, it is found that if the internal phase shiftExpand
Photon statistics and entanglement in coherent-squeezed linear Mach-Zehnder and Michelson interferometers
Photon statistics effects are analyzed for Mach-Zehnder and Michelson interferometers in which a strong coherent state is inserted into one input port and a squeezed vacuum is inserted in the otherExpand
How squeezed states both maximize and minimize the same notion of quantumness
Beam splitters are routinely used for generating entanglement between modes in the optical and microwave domains, requiring input states that are not convex combinations of coherent states. ThisExpand
Quantum interference in an asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer
A re-visitation of the well known free space Mach-Zehnder interferometer is reported here. The coexistence between one-photon and two-photons interference from collinear color entangled photon pairsExpand
Optimal quantum-enhanced interferometry
We analyze the ultimate bounds on the phase sensitivity of an interferometer, given the constraint that the state input to the interferometer's initial 50:50 beam splitter B is a product state of theExpand
Optical generation of a hybrid entangled state via an entangling single-photon-added coherent state
We propose a feasible scheme based on the nonlinear Mach-Zehnder interferometer to realize the optical entanglement of a single-photon-added coherent state and show that, besides the SandersExpand
The beam splitter as a state and entanglement detector
In this article we propose a very simple scheme for detecting the state and the degree of entanglement of two modes of radiation using a beam splitter. We find that using this device we can tellExpand
PH4110: Research Review Entangled States in Quantum Metrology
Quantum entanglement enhances the precision of the phase measurements beyond the standard quantum limit. Phase measurement using entangled states has precision bounded by the Heisenberg limit.Expand
Quantifying Quantum Correlation of Quasi‐Werner State and Probing Its Suitability for Quantum Teleportation
The significance of photon addition in engineering the single- and two-mode (bipartite correlations) nonclassical properties of a quantum state is investigated. Specifically, we analyzed the behaviorExpand
Entanglement of Gaussian states using a beam splitter
We study an experimental scheme to generate Gaussian two-mode entangled states via beam splitter. Specifically, we consider a nonclassical Gaussian state (squeezed state) and a thermal state as twoExpand
