The power saving mechanisms of the current IEEE 802.16e system are designed to take no consideration of the harmonization between power saving classes (PSCs) I and II. Using the IEEE 802.16e standard as a basis, we propose a dynamic power saving mechanism that increases unavailability interval when a mobile station (MS) uses PSCs.
