Enhancement of light emission from the horseradish peroxidase-catalyzed oxidation of diacyl hydrazides on addition of 6-hydroxybenzothiazole or phenol derivatives forms the basis of rapid, specific, and sensitive chemiluminescent assays for peroxidase.
