Biomaterials derived from silk fibroin prepared by aqueous (AB) and organic (HFIP) solvent-based processes, along with collagen (COL) and poly-lactic acid (PLA)-based scaffolds were studied in vitro and in vivo for their utility in adipose tissue engineering strategies.
