An energy allocation method for multicarrier systems that allows effective transmission of mixed source data with varying quality of service (QoS) requirements is presented. We consider different types and different classes of data that are simultaneously transmitted over non-uniform channels. The two commonly considered data types are multimedia and alpha-numeric data.
