This paper presents the performance of solar cells under different electric lighting sources in indoor environments. Experiments are conducted for different solar technologies like polycrystalline Silicon, Amorphous Silicon and DyeSensitized .Measurements are done under illumination from incandescent, fluorescent and LED light sources in this paper. Also, simulations are done to find out the maximum power points of different solar cells under different electrical light sources. And, the output power densities of four types of solar cells have been investigated under three illumination sources encountered in buildings. The results confirm aforementioned significant difference between incandescent, fluorescent and LED light sources.
