Energy consumption is the major problem in a wireless sensor network (WSN).In order to reduce the energy con- sumption, level by level offset based wake up pattern with hybrid data gathering protocol is introduced in this paper. This pa- per analyses the energy consumption in different nodes. The main purpose of WSN is to collect data for processing, communi- cating and reporting.
