Previously, we have shown in porcine inner medullary collecting duct (IMCD) cells that endothelin (ET), probably in an autocrine fashion, suppresses arginine vasopressin (AVP)-induced synthesis of cAMP and thereby, may modify the action of AVP on IMCD fluid transport.
