Mice carrying a null mutation of the progesterone receptor gene exhibit several reproductive abnormalities, including anovulation, attenuated lordotic behavior, uterine hyperplasia, and lack of mammary gland development. The hormonal correlates of these abnormalities are unknown, however, and were the focus of these studies.
