TNF is a pleiotropic cytokine that modulates cell proliferation and apoptosis. The objective of the present study was to investigate the possible function(s) of the TNF/TNF-R1 signaling pathway in embryonic mouse submandibular salivary gland (SMG) morphogenesis.
