Mn modified the commercial magnesite powder prepared by wet impregnation method has been shown to be effective for gas-phase elemental mercury (Hg(0)) removal at low temperatures. The prepared samples are characterized in detail across multiform techniques: XRF, BET, SEM-EDX, XRD, H2-TPR, and XPS, and all the results show that the amorphous MnO2 impregnated on magnesite powder improves the removal efficiency of Hg(0).
