An electrostatic, noncontact method is proposed which permits the measurement of two-phase flow parameters: the average velocity of flow and volume loading or mass flow rate. This method was previously tested and used in the measurements of moving electric charges carried by solid particles in pipelines of pneumatic transport and is now being tried out and developed in flow parameter measurements with promising results.
