In this work, Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents(NDES) using choline chloride as salts and glycerol and ethlyene glycol as hydrogen bond donors were prepared. The different water content in NDES was used for extraction parameter optimized. The fucoidan from brown algae extracted using NDES as solvents. The fucoidan extracts based on NDES with polycaprolactone(PCL) were electrospun to obtain nanofibers. The Paper disc method used for anti-bacterial assay(against S. aureus and E. coli) and the 2,2…

Antimicrobial properties and action of galangal (Alpinia galanga Linn.) on Staphylococcus aureus
Transmission electron microscopy clearly demonstrated that the galangal extract caused both outer and inner membrane damage, and cytoplasmic membrane properties was determined by the releasing of cell materials including nucleic acid which absorbed UV/VIS spectrophotometer at 260 nm.
Controlled activity of mouse astrocytes on electrospun PCL nanofiber containing polysaccharides from brown seaweed
It is proposed that the electrospun EPS–PCL nanofiber could be used as a nanomedicine or scaffold to treat CNS injuries via temporal control of astrocyte activity by EPS concentration.
Antibacterial effect of fucoidan from Sargassum wightii against the chosen human bacterial pathogens
It is concluded that fucoidan might be used as natural and safe antibiotics in curing many bacterial diseases and further study is req uired to get the better understanding of mode of action offucoidan against the bacterial pathogens.
