Pulmonary veins (PVs) are important foci in initiation of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. However, the mechanisms of the high arrhythmogenic activity of PVs are unclear. This study aimed to isolate single cardiomyocytes from PVs and evaluate their electrophysiological characteristics and arrhythmogenic potential.
