Electron-positron pair production in low-energy collisions of heavy nuclei is considered beyond the monopole approximation. The calculation method is based on the numerical solving of the time-dependent Dirac equation with the full two-center potential. Bound-free and free-free pair-production probabilities as well as the energy spectra of the emitted positrons are calculated for the collisions of bare uranium nuclei. The calculations are performed for collision energy near the Coulomb barrier… Expand

How to Observe the Vacuum Decay in Low-Energy Heavy-Ion Collisions.
TLDR
It is shown that the vacuum decay can nevertheless be observed via impact-sensitive measurements of pair-production probabilities and the possibility of such an observation is demonstrated using numerical calculations of pair production in low-energy collisions of heavy nuclei. Expand
Electric Model for Electromagnetic Wave Fields
TLDR
This paper presents the first theoretical framework that defines the electric infinitesimal structure model of electromagnetic waves, which represents the electromagnetic fields by electric field components only and found to be exactly equivalent to Maxwell’s equations proving the validity of the proposed model.
