Employing the Keldysh diagram technique, we calculate the electron-phonon energy relaxation rate in a conductor with the vibrating and static \ensuremath{\delta}-correlated random electron-scattering potentials. If the scattering potential is completely dragged by phonons, this model yields the Schmid's result for the inelastic electron-scattering rate ${\ensuremath{\tau}}_{e\ensuremath{-}\mathrm{ph}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}.$ At low temperatures the effective interaction decreases due to disorder…

Electron energy relaxation in disordered superconducting NbN films

We report on the inelastic-scattering rate of electrons on phonons and relaxation of electron energy studied by means of magnetoconductance, and photoresponse, respectively, in a series of strongly

Electron-phonon dephasing time due to the quasistatic scattering potential in metallic glass CuZrAl

We have measured the electron-phonon scattering time in the metallic glass CuZrAl between 0.37 and $16\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{K}$, using the weak-localization magnetoresistance. The

Slow Electron–Phonon Cooling in Superconducting Diamond Films

We have measured the electron–phonon energy-relaxation time, <inline-formula><tex-math notation="LaTeX"> ${\boldsymbol{\tau }_{{{\rm eph}}}}$</tex-math></inline-formula>, in superconducting

Quantum interference of electrons in Nb_{5-\delta}Te_4 single crystals

The compound $Nb_{5-\delta}Te_4$ ($\delta=0.23$) with quasi-one-dimensional crystal structure undergoes a transition to superconductivity at $T_c$=0.6--0.9 K. Its electronic transport properties in

Electron-phonon mediated heat flow in disordered graphene

We calculate the heat flux and electron-phonon thermal conductance in a disordered graphene sheet, going beyond a Fermi's Golden rule approach to fully account for the modification of the

Observation of disorder-induced weakening of electron-phonon interaction in thin noble-metal films

We have used symmetric normal metal-insulator-superconductor (NIS) tunnel junction pairs, known as SINIS structures, for ultrasensitive thermometry in the temperature range 50 - 700 mK. By Joule

Linear temperature behavior of thermopower and strong electron-electron scattering in thick F-doped SnO2 films

Both the semi-classical and quantum transport properties of F-doped SnO2 thick films (∼1 μm) were investigated experimentally. We found that the resistivity caused by the thermal phonons obeys

Strong spin-orbit interaction and quadratic temperature dependence of electron-phonon scattering in disorder V75X25 (X = Pd, Al) alloys at low temperature

The results of a comprehensive study of weak electron localization (WEL) and electron-electron interaction (EEI) effects in disordered V75X25 (X = Pd, Al) alloys has been reported. The resistivity in

Linear mean free path and quadratic temperature dependence of electron-phonon scattering rate in V82Al18-xFex alloys at low temperature

We have reported a comprehensive study on temperature and disorder dependence of inelastic electron dephasing scattering rate in disordered V82Al18-xFex alloys. The dephasing scattering time has been
