The ratio of electric to magnetic proton form factors G_E/G_M as measured in polarization transfer experiments shows a characteristic linear decrease with increasing momentum transfer Q^2. We present a simple argument how such a decrease arises naturally in chiral soliton models. For a detailed comparison of model results with experimentally determined form factors it is necessary to employ a boost from the soliton rest frame to the Breit frame. To enforce asymptotic counting rules for form… Expand
Integrating holographic vector dominance to hidden local symmetry for the nucleon form factor
We derive a two-parameter formula for the electromagnetic form factors of the nucleon described as an instanton by "integrating out" all KK modes other than the lowest mesons from the infinite-towerExpand
The electric form factor of the neutron at low momentum transfers as measured at Bates Large Acceptance Spectrometer Toroid
Elastic form factors are characteristic signatures of the electromagnetic properties of hadronic matter. The more precisely we can measure these values, the more powerful becomes the predictabilityExpand
Nucleon electromagnetic form factors
Abstract There has been much activity in the measurement of the elastic electromagnetic proton and neutron form factors in the last decade, and the quality of the data has been greatly improved byExpand
Lorentz contracted proton
A bstractThe proton charge and magnetization density distributions can be related to the well known Sachs electromagnetic form factors GE,M(q2) through Fourier transforms, only in the Breit frame.Expand
Extraction of the Proton Charge Radius from Experiments
The static properties of hadrons, such as their radii and other moments of the electric and magnetic distributions, can only be extracted using theoretical methods and cannot be directly measuredExpand
Super-exceptional embedding construction of the heterotic M5: Emergence of SU(2)-flavor sector
A new super-exceptional embedding construction of the heterotic M5-brane's sigma-model was recently shown to produce, at leading order in the super-exceptional vielbein components, theExpand
Relativistic baryons in the Skyrme model revisited
We investigate and revisit certain aspects of relativistic baryons in the Skyrme model. Starting from static baryons in the helicity eigenstates, we generalize their wavefunctions to the non-staticExpand
