The cyclic voltammetry responses and the redox switching dynamics of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) in a room-temperature ionic liquid, 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl)amide (EMImTf2N), were investigated. The shape of the cyclic voltammograms showed two anodic and two cathodic peaks. These peak currents varied linearly with the scan rate indicating a thin-layer behaviour.
