  • Multi-walled carbon nanotubes modified by covalent grafting of poly(2-vinylpyridine) (CNT-g-P2VP) form stable dispersions in good solvents for P2VP, including water at low pH. The positively charged P2VP shell allows the immobilization of the CNTs onto oppositely charged surface. Deposition of CNT-g-P2VP from aqueous dispersions at low pH is an effective method to prepare homogeneous ultra-thin films with a tunable CNTs density.
