Ta-doped SnO2 films with high conductivity and high optical transparency have been successfully fabricated using rf-sputtering method and their electrical transport properties have been investigated. All films reveal degenerate semiconductor (metal) characteristics in electrical transport properties. For the thick films (t ∼ 1μm with t being the thickness) deposited in pure argon, the electron-phonon scattering alone cannot explain the temperature dependent behaviors of resistivity, the…

Electronic and optical properties of fluorine-doped tin oxide films
Thin films of fluorine-doped SnO2 have been prepared by deposition on borosilicate glass using the spray-pyrolysis technique. The effect of doping on the concentration and mobility of the charge
Influence of Coulomb interaction on the electrical transport properties of ultrathin Al:ZnO films
We have measured the Hall coefficient RH and the electrical conductivity σ of a series of ultrathin (∼55 nm) Al:ZnO films. These films reveal mesoscopic characteristics in electrical transport
Electronic structures and formation energies of pentavalent-ion-doped SnO2: First-principles hybrid functional calculations
We studied the electronic properties and relative thermodynamic stability of several pentavalent-ion (Ta, Nb, P, Sb, and I) doped SnO2 systems using first-principles hybrid density functional theory
Alkaline and rare-earth metals doped transparent conductive tin oxide thin films
In this paper, Ba-doped SnO2 (SnO2:Ba), Mg-doped SnO2 (SnO2:Mg) and Ce-doped SnO2 (SnO2:Ce) nanostructured thin films were prepared on the glass substrate via a simple and low-cost nebulizer spray
Electrical resistivities and thermopowers of transparent Sn-doped indium oxide films
We have systematically measured the electrical resistivities and thermopowers of transparent tin-doped indium oxide films. We found that the resistivities obey the Bloch-Gruneisen law between 25 and
Optimization of F-doped SnO2 electrodes for organic photovoltaic devices
Fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) thin films have been investigated as an alternative to indium tin oxide anodes in organic photovoltaic devices. The structural, electrical, and optical properties of
Ab Initio Study of Structural, Electronic, and Hyperfine Properties of n-type SnO2:Ta Semiconductor
A detailed theoretical first-principles study of structural, electronic, and hyperfine properties at Sn and Ta sites of undoped and Ta-doped rutile SnO2 is presented, using the Full-Potential
Ab initio description of quasiparticle band structures and optical near-edge absorption of transparent conducting oxides
Many-body perturbation theory is applied to compute the quasiparticle electronic structures and the optical absorption spectra (including excitonic effects) for several transparent conducting oxides
