Elective cholecystectomy with intraperitoneal drain. A bacteriological evaluation.

The occurrence of bacteria in 108 patients operated on with elective cholecystectomy was investigated in specimens from preoperative skin, gallbladder bile, drain wound secretion and drainage fluid.
