PACIFIC ISLANDS NATIONS GENERALLY HAVE VERY LOW RATES OF WOMEN’S participation in national parliaments and Solomon Islands has one of the worst records of all. In this paper we identify constraints to women’s participation in electoral politics in Solomon Islands and develop ideas about how to overcome some of them.
