Chaffinches, Fringilla eoelebs, and bramblings, Fringilla montifringilla, possess highly effective discriminating mechanisms towards artificial cuckoo, Cuculus eanorus, eggs and also towards foreign conspecific eggs (Braa et al. 1992).
