We consider the problem of controlling a large fleet of drones to deliver packages simultaneously across broad urban areas. To conserve energy, drones hop between public transit vehicles (e.g., buses and trams). We design a comprehensive algorithmic framework that strives to minimize the maximum time to complete any delivery. We address the multifaceted complexity of the problem through a two-layer ap-proach. First, the upper layer assigns drones to package delivery sequences with a near…

IoDSCF: A Store-Carry-Forward Routing Protocol for joint Bus Networks and Internet of Drones

The IoDSCF is presented – a store-carry-forward routing protocol for joint Bus Networks and the Internet of Drones that takes advantage of both networks to extend the communication reachability and is a promising strategy for data communication, mainly in smart cities.

Coordinated Multi-Agent Pathfinding for Drones and Trucks over Road Networks

This work designs a comprehensive algorithmic framework that frames each stage as a multi-agent path-finding problem and implements two distinct methods for solving them, and saves on more than 50% of vehicle distance traveled compared to independently solving for trucks and drones.

Scalable Online Planning for Multi-Agent MDPs

This work presents a scalable tree search planning algorithm for large multi-agent sequential decision problems that require dynamic collaboration through an approach that allows us to trade computation for approximation quality and dynamically coordinate actions.

Terraforming - Environment Manipulation during Disruptions for Multi-Agent Pickup and Delivery

In automated warehouses, teams of mobile robots fulfill the packaging process by transferring inventory pods to designated workstations while navigating narrow aisles formed by tightly packed pods.

Drone-Aided Delivery Methods, Challenge, and the Future: A Methodological Review

This paper aims to review the current literature on drone delivery and identify research trends, challenges, and future research directions and summarizes key challenges and limitations associated with drone delivery from technological, safety, societal, and environmental aspects.

Graph Attention Multi-Agent Fleet Autonomy for Advanced Air Mobility

Through extensive experimentation, it is shown that the fleets operating under the HetGAT Enc-Dec policy outperform other state-of-the-art graph neural network-based policies by achieving the highest fleet reward and fulfillment ratios in an on-demand mobility network.

Human Mesenchymal Stromal Cell-Derived Extracellular Vesicles Modify Microglial Response and Improve Clinical Outcomes in Experimental Spinal Cord Injury

Treatment of acute SCI with extracellular vesicles derived from human MSCs attenuates neuroinflammation and improves functional recovery, and is shown to be efficacious as an alternative to cell-based therapy for SCI.

Slow inactivation of the Ca(V)3.1 isotype of T-type calcium channels.

The slow inactivation modulates the availability of T-type calcium channels depending upon recent cell history, providing a mechanism to store information in a time scale of seconds.

Socialization to Gender Roles: Popularity among Elementary School Boys and Girls.

This article draws on data gathered through participant observation with preadolescent children in and outside elementary schools to focus on the role of popularity in gender socialization. Within

Mechanisms of erythropoiesis inhibition by malarial pigment and malaria‐induced proinflammatory mediators in an in vitro model

An in vitro model of erythropoiesis was developed using CD34+ stem cells derived from peripheral blood to demonstrate that PfHz suppresses erythroid cells, and indirectly via inflammatory mediators produced from PfHz‐stimulated PBMC, including TNF‐α and NO.

Network Flow Algorithms

This graduate text and reference presents a succinct, unified view of a wide variety of efficient combinatorial algorithms for network flow problems, including many results not found in other books.

Suboptimal Variants of the Conflict-Based Search Algorithm for the Multi-Agent Pathfinding Problem

This work proposes several ways to relax the optimality conditions of CBS trading solution quality for runtime as well as bounded-suboptimal variants, where the returned solution is guaranteed to be within a constant factor from optimal solution cost.

A Rich Vehicle Routing Problem : Survey

The Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) is a well known research line in the optimisation research community. Its different basic variants have been widely explored in the literature. Even though it has
