The atypical antipsychotic aripiprazole has been demonstrated to reduce symptoms of bipolar mania. To further profile the antimanic-like properties of aripiprazole in relevant preclinical models, we examined its efficacy in d-amphetamine-based behavioural models of acute mania in rats.
