Pot experiments evaluated the efficacy of several pre-emergence herbicides on three annual grasses that are major problem weeds in most maize growing regions. Herbicides evaluated included alachlor, metolachlor, dimethenamid, two formulations of acetochlor, and proprietary mixes of acetochlor with atrazine or metribuzin.
