In this article we describe the immunocytochemical and electron microscopic findings in five patients with toxic epidermal necrolysis. They indicate the occurrence of necrotic keratinocytes with nuclear disintegration associated with apposed dendritic cells with the nuclear chromatin configuration of T lymphocytes.
