Effects of ultrasonic treatment of rumduol mash on the antioxidant level of fruit juice

title={Effects of ultrasonic treatment of rumduol mash on the antioxidant level of fruit juice},
Rumduol (Sphaerocoryne affinis (Teijsm. and Binn.) Ridl) fruit is rich in antioxidants including ascorbic acid and phenolic compounds. In this study, ultrasonic treatment of rumduol mash was applied to extraction of fruit juice with high antioxidant level. Firstly, the effects of ultrasonic power and time on the antioxidant content and activity of the rumduol juice were investigated. Response surface methodology was then used to optimize the ultrasonic treatment conditions. The optimal…

Effect of Ultrasound and Enzymatic Mash Treatment on Bioactive Compounds and Antioxidant Capacity of Black, Red and White Currant Juices
It was demonstrated that enzymatic combined with ultrasound treatment of mash for different colored currant fruit did not have any dismissive effect and could even improve some parameters of the juice obtained.

Application of ultrasound in grape mash treatment in juice processing.
Responsible response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimize the conditions for grape mash treatment by ultrasound and by combination of ultrasound and enzyme and improved the grape juice quality.
Ultrasound-assisted extraction, HPLC analysis, and antioxidant activity of polyphenols from unripe apple.
The extractedpolyphenols had higher ability to inhibit lipid peroxidation than butylated hydroxy toluene, which demonstrated that the unripe apple polyphenols have the potential to be used as a substitute of some synthetic antioxidants.
Comparison of enzyme-assisted and ultrasound-assisted extraction of vitamin C and phenolic compounds from acerola (Malpighia emarginata DC.) fruit
Summary This article describes a comparative study of enzyme and ultrasound techniques for the simultaneous extraction of vitamin C and phenolic compounds from acerola fruit. Ultrasound-assisted
Thermal processing enhances the nutritional value of tomatoes by increasing total antioxidant activity.
Thermal processing enhanced the nutritional value of tomatoes by increasing the bioaccessible lycopene content and total antioxidant activity and are against the notion that processed fruits and vegetables have lower nutritional value than fresh produce.
Ultrasonic assisted alkali extraction of protein from defatted rice bran and properties of the protein concentrates
Summary Alkaline extraction for the preparation of protein concentrate from rice bran was compared with a range of ultrasonic treatments. Results revealed that the extraction time decreased, and
Effect of ultrasound frequency on antioxidant activity, total phenolic and anthocyanin content of red raspberry puree.
It was demonstrated that 20 kHz ultrasound treatment, when limited to 10 min, was the most effective for extraction of bioactive compounds in red raspberry compared to 490 and 986 kHz although the effect could be similar at the higher frequencies if different amplitudes are used.
Antioxidant activity applying an improved ABTS radical cation decolorization assay.
A method for the screening of antioxidant activity is reported as a decolorization assay applicable to both lipophilic and hydrophilic antioxidants, including flavonoids, hydroxycinnamates,
Total phenolic compounds and antioxidant capacities of major fruits from Ecuador
Abstract Seventeen fruits from Ecuador were analysed for total soluble phenolic compounds content and for antioxidant capacity, using three different methods (DPPH , FRAP and ABTS + ). For the total
