The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of oral administration of sodium bicarbonate (300 mg·kg(-1) b.w.) on swim performance in competitive, (training experience of 6.6 ± 0.6 years) youth, (15.1 ± 0.6 years) male swimmers.
