PURPOSE To investigate the neuron protective effect of recombined nerve growth factor (rNGF) on retinal cell damage induced by experimental retinal detachment. METHODS Experimental retinal detachment models were created in Sprague-Dawley rats by subretinal injection of sodium hyaluronate.
