Influences of saccadic eye movements upon excitability of superior colliculus (SC) were examined in chronic cats carrying implanted electrodes and in encéphale isolé cats. Excitability of SC was assessed by recording responses of SC to electrical stimulation of cortico-collicular (CC) pathway.
